When you’re struggling with addiction, it might seem like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Whether you’re dealing with alcohol abuse, prescription drug dependence, or an addiction to illicit drugs, you know that you deserve better and want to be clean and sober. You’ve likely even tried to accomplish this on your own. Whether you succeeded for a short while before relapsing or just didn’t get very far, it’s important that you try again, but do things differently in order to achieve different results.
Our residential drug rehab center is something that you should very much consider as a new approach if you really want to get past your addiction. Trying to fight off an addiction in your own daily life presents a number of problems. First, you’re having to handle your day-to-day responsibilities while also trying to get clean, and that can be too much to handle. That’s especially true if there are stressors in your life that are prompting and triggering your addictive behavior. Second, your regular life is not likely a place from which you can draw on the support of others, as there might be one or more relationships in your life that are actually very unhealthy and contribute to your affliction. Third, you likely have easy access to the drug or substance which you abuse regularly.

Those are three big reasons why spending time in our residential drug rehab center can prove very beneficial in your quest to create a sober and clean lifestyle. Your daily responsibilities and stress will be much lower when you spend time here, since you’ll be living here temporarily. While you’ll still have to be mindful of your life’s responsibilities back home while here, we can help you make arrangements for as much of it to be taken care of as possible. As one of our guests or clients, you’ll have a place to lay your head at night and meals provided to you every day, simplifying some of the matters that can be so draining on your own when fighting an addiction. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll be in a place where you’re away from the things in your life that trigger your addiction. Whether it’s a place, a time of day, something related to your work, or even a person or group of people in your life, you simply won’t have physical access to those triggers while here.
One aspect of our residential drug rehab center that can prove even more potent as a factor in your recovery is that there is quite a bit of control over who you spend time with. In your regular life, you hopefully are surrounded by those who care about you and support you, but you might not honestly have anyone like that. Even if you do, they might not be enough to help you counterbalance workplace stress, family duress, or an abusive or unhealthy relationship. If your addiction is not totally due to unresolved emotional trauma from the past, but actually a reflection of something ongoing, time here can remove you from those who are negative influences in your life, whether they mean to be or not. On-site, your time is split between other residents trying to get clean and staff and experts guiding everyone to a better life. There is also visitation options and times for friends and family.
We find that’s one of the most critical aspects of treatment for our residents. While we’re able to help our residents get clean while they’re here, you can’t live the rest of your life here. In fact, that’s another issue we look out for too. Many who come here lead such lives at home that they almost fall totally apart while here, given the safe, supportive, and relaxed environment we provide. That’s by design. Your old self needs to stop being, as it were, so you can learn how to be a new person who manages stress, knows his or her self-worth, and has the coping mechanisms and training to handle a clean life of sobriety and wellness.
Leaving here clean is very possible, but we know that staying clean is going to rely a lot on having strong emotional support from the right people. That’s why we encourage visitation and even participation in your treatment from any friends or family you trust, and you’ll hopefully make some new friends while here. Our intention for you while here is not just to get clean, but create ways to stay clean when you’re out and back home, and a support network you can rely on is essential. The right friends and family help, but so too do the counseling and group sessions we arrange for you before you depart our facility. We also can provide guidance and assistance in arranging financing for all of this too.
